£75,000 for Motorcyclist Injured in Collision at Junction

A motorcyclist who was hit by another vehicle has obtained compensation for the injuries he suffered.

The accident happened when the driver of the other vehicle failed to give way at a junction. The motorcyclist sustained fractures to his elbow, pelvic ring and femur in the collision, and underwent multiple surgeries. As a result of his injuries, his ability to work was affected and he had to move out of his flat into more suitable accommodation.

He brought a claim against the driver, who denied liability. Court proceedings were therefore issued and statements obtained from witnesses.

A settlement of his claim for £75,000 was agreed. As well as compensating him for his pain and suffering, the settlement reflects the impact on his employment prospects and his ongoing medical expenses.
