Diners Struck Down With Salmonella Win Damages

Expert legal advice is essential for those injured or made ill during a leisure activity, as was shown by a case in which lawyers secured a six-figure settlement for 28 victims of salmonella poisoning.

The diners had all eaten at the Real China restaurant in Eastleigh over a two-week period in July 2014. They subsequently experienced symptoms of food poisoning. Many of those who fell ill had to seek medical treatment and take time off work, and a large number have been left with ongoing health issues. Their symptoms were subsequently linked to a nationwide salmonella outbreak.

Lawyers for the 28 diners affected have now succeeded in winning compensation for them totalling £275,000.
