Originally from Taffs Well, Dave attended the Boys Grammar School and St Martin’s Comprehensive School in Caerphilly before taking a law degree at UWIST in Cardiff. He studied the Solicitors’ Finals Course in Chester before joining David W Harris & Co as an Articled Clerk in 1983. He remained with the Firm on admission in 1985, becoming a Partner in 1988.
Previously dealing with a varied workload, he has for the last 15 years specialised almost exclusively in Claimant Personal Injury work with some other general civil litigation.
He manages a full case load.
He was the conducting solicitor in the Court of Appeal cases of UCB Corporate Services v Williams  EWCA Civ. 555 – a case on undue influence/misrepresentation – and Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council v W J Watkins  EWCA Civ. 129 – a case on compulsory purchase and adverse possession.
He is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and an APIL-accredited litigator.
A keen rugby and cricket player in his younger days, Dave played rugby for Cilfynydd and Taffs Well and cricket for St Fagans, Pontypridd and Hopkinstown. He now limits himself to squash and golf. He is also a keen Cardiff City supporter.
