Tom Baker

Tom was brought up in Blackwood and attended Pontllanfraith Comprehensive School before going on to study Law at Cardiff University. After graduating in 2015, Tom passed the LPC with Distinction the following year and joined David W Harris & Co. as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2016.

Tom’s practice now focuses primarily on Private Client matters. Tom deals with the drafting of Wills, preparation of Lasting Power of Attorney documentation and all Probate and Administration matters. Tom also advises on trust matters to include their creation and administration, as well as all aspects of inheritance tax.

Tom is currently an Associate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is hoping to progress to become a full member of STEP in due course. Tom incorporates the STEP Codes into his private client working practices to ensure a high level of service is provided to clients.

Tom is also a fully accredited member of The Association of Lifetime Lawyers for his expertise in advising older and vulnerable clients on the above matters.

Tom is a very keen sportsman. He is the former captain of Bridgend Town Cricket Club and has previously represented both Wales Minor Counties and the Glamorgan Second XI. He is also a keen golfer and is currently training to run the London Marathon in 2026.
